MILWAUKEE COUNTY TRANSIT SYSTEM
Downtown Shuttle Service

Take the Shuttle along Wisconsin Avenue to German Fest as illustrated below on the Downtown Shuttle Map.  It's easy to take the downtown Shuttle. Ride a regular bus to connect with the Shuttle. Or, if you are already downtown, just walk to a Shuttle stop. You can also drive and park at one of the several downtown parking lots which are within walking distance from the Shuttle.

Parking lots, indicated as (P) on the Downtown Shuttle Map, charge $5 or less after 5 pm on most weekdays and all day Saturdays and Sundays during lakefront festivals except on holidays.  Service begins one half hour before and ends one half hour after event times.  See Shuttle service Fare Guide for costs.

Shuttle and Freeway Flyer
Shuttle and Freeway Flyer service to German Fest begins approximately one-half hour before and ends one-half hour after the festival closes. The shuttles run approximately every 15 minutes, while Freeway Flyers operate every half hour on the half hour.

You can take the MCTS Freeway Flyer from the following Park-Ride lots:
  • College
  • Holt
  • Watertown Plank
  • State Fair Park-Northeast, or
  • Brown Deer East
Ozaukee County Express
The Ozaukee County Express service starts at the Port Washington Park-Ride Lot and runs at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm, 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm during festival hours. 
Flyers also serve the Grafton and Cedarburg Park-Ride Lots at 40 and 50 minutes past the hour, respectively. Return trips leave at 2:30 pm, 4:30 pm, 6:30 pm, 8:30 pm, 9:30 pm, 10:30 pm, 11:30 pm and 12:30 am.

Fare Schedule:
The cost for Milwaukee County Transit Shuttle service to German Fest is $3.00 round-trip for adults,
$1.50 for children (6 - 11) and seniors (65 & over) and disabled persons with I.D.

Freeway Flyer service to German Fest is $6.00 round-trip for adults, $3.00 for children (6 - 11) and seniors (65 & over) and disabled persons with I.D.
